Department of information Technology

 The department offers the Programme to about 60 students each year and is one of the most sought after programmes in college.

Infrastructure

The department consists of a fully equipped computer laboratory connected via LAN environment. Multimedia equipment is part of all the PCS and the systems are networked with multiple segments 1000 MbPS Gigabit Ethernet.

Operating systems like Windows, SCO. Unix and Novell Netware are offered to enable students get better exposure to different working standards.

The IT laboratory is also equipped with the following peripherals:

• Printers

• CD and DVD Writers

• Scanners

• OHPs

• LCD projectors

Library

The department comprises a fully equipped learning center with 2000 plus books, journals and international magazines. In addition to this, the audiovisual library also provides students with a virtual learning ambiance.

Association

 EAGLE IT focuses on enhancing the all round personalities of the students and bring global opportunities for the students in different ways. The association was started with a vision of moulding individuals to deliver solutions on par with world standards.

Value additions

Other learning initiatives in the department include guest lectures, industry visits, technical and cultural symposia and coming face to face with industry experts. The department also conducts national level symposia on a variety of topics every year invites participation of delegates from all over the country.

 Prospects

 Career prospects open up global opportunities for students in tech-parks, software parks, computer science and engineering corporate houses and ITES services. The programme is tailored to help students meet different world standards.
